Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Park Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with morning and afternoon sessions and offers employer-paid childcare benefits.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, and requires 18+ years, a HS diploma, and prior experience with children. Background checks and TB screening are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
