Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arthur S. May School in Poughkeepsie, NY for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers an $16.00 per hour schedule following the school calendar, with morning and/or afternoon shifts. You'll facilitate activities, supervise children ages 5–12, and promote a safe, engaging environment while collaborating with families and teammates.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
