Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a part-time Beer Den/Wine Clerk in Raleigh to educate guests on beer and wine, maintain displays, and assist with tastings and promotions. You will work with store staff to ensure accurate pricing, inventory, and compliance with ALE laws.

You must be 21+, comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, and able to stand for long periods. Growler filling, training of other clerks, and customer-focused service are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of beer and wine products.
• Familiar with ALE laws governing sale and purchasing.
• Good sales, communication and guest service skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Self-motivated and able to follow guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to read and understand information.
• Ability to communicate with Store Manager and vendors.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for long periods.
• Must lift 30 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on beer and wine attributes and guide needs.
• Maintain proper display and pricing of materials.
• Keep Beer Den/Sunmill Wines clean and organized.
• Collaborate with managers and suppliers on pricing and selection.
• Train fellow clerks and ensure information is accurate.
• Conduct tastings and in-store demos/promotions.
• Follow state laws for sampling and sales of beer and wine.
• Wash and prepare growlers; fill and label as requested.
• Maintain inventory of growlers and supplies.
• Announce specials over PA system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
