Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Beer Den/Wine Clerk at our Wake Forest store to assist guests with beer and wine selections. You will educate guests, perform tastings, and ensure correct pricing and signage while maintaining a clean, compliant beer and wine area.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift weights, and a friendly, team-oriented approach to guest service. 21+ and compliant with ALE regulations are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of beer and wine products.
• A familiarity with laws governing sale and purchase of alcohol.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor and customer-focused attitude.
• Self-motivated and trustworthy with adherence to guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others and read directions.
• Clear communication with Store Manager and vendors.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting 30 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on product attributes and guide needs.
• Ensure marketing materials, signage, and prices are correct.
• Maintain sanitation and appearance of the Beer Den/Sunmill Wines.
• Collaborate with category managers for pricing and selection.
• Train clerks and ensure information is available to hosts.
• Conduct tastings and in-store demos as needed.
• Comply with state laws on sampling, sale and purchase.
• Prepare and wash growlers per standards.
• Fill growlers on request following filling and labeling rules.
• Maintain inventory of growlers, glassware, and supplies.
• Announce specials and sales information on the PA system.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
