National Distributors, Inc. seeks a dependable Beer Sales Assistant to support the beer sales team across established territories. This hands-on role covers routes when reps are away, handles customer service, inventory, orders, and promotions in retail and on-premise accounts.

Ideal candidates are organized, self-motivated, and able to build relationships with retailers. Regular travel and physical activity are required; strong English and MS Office skills are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Prior customer service and sales/beer industry experience are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Cover route when a salesperson is unavailable and support sales, service and inventory tasks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Beer Sales Assistant to support our beer sales team and established sales territories. This position provides route coverage when sales representatives are unavailable and assists with customer service, sales, product placement, inventory, order taking, promotions, and other sales-related activities.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and able to build positive relationships with customers and retailers. This is a hands-on position that requires regular travel and physical activity in retail and on-premise accounts.

Responsibilities

• Covers route when a salesperson is unable due to vacation, sickness, etc.
• Effectively presents information based on product knowledge and responds to questions from management, customers and retailers.
• Takes inventories and sales orders in every account.
• Assists in cooler resets, display building, and looks for ways to gain strategic point of sale placements.
• Proficient in the shelf set program to produce schematics and present them to retailers and execute shelf set in the marketplace.
• Monitors and executes stock rotation on every account call.
• Seeks additional draught lines on premises and sells in and attends on premise promotions.
• Seeks out any competitive information as it applies to pricing, new products, new packages, programs, etc.
• Responsible for own sales goals as well as team goals and understands the pay for performance program. Reads, analyzes and interprets sales figures, graphs, and percentages and how they relate to individual and territory sales.
• Accurately completes daily reports when not covering a route, to be turned into beer management the following day.
• All additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Prior sales or beer industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, retailers, management, and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and memorize product code dates and package codes.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English at a high school level.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment physical and driver's license check.
