Andes Global Trading, LLC is seeking a highly driven Purchasing Lead for its beef category. You will manage supplier relationships, execute sourcing strategies, and analyze market trends to support sales opportunities across North America and beyond.

Leadership and mentoring of Purchasing Specialists are key components of the role. You will collaborate with trading, logistics, and sales teams to optimize sourcing, pricing, and product availability in fast-moving beef markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience in beef.
• Deep knowledge of beef markets, pricing dynamics, and origins across USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico.
• Established network with packers, exporters, brokers, and distributors.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and trade shows.

Responsabilités

• Manage an assigned portfolio of beef suppliers.
• Build long-term relationships with packers, processors, exporters, brokers, and distributors.
• Identify new sourcing opportunities and diversify suppliers.
• Coordinate offers with trading and sales teams and secure product information.
• Monitor inventory positioning and advise on purchasing decisions based on demand and market conditions.
• Support negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers.
• Collaborate with logistics, accounting, and operations to align purchasing with cash flow and timelines.
• Mentor Purchasing Specialists and share beef market knowledge.
