Job summary

Greater Omaha Packing Co., Inc in Omaha, NE seeks a Supervisor to coordinate pre-operation examinations, verify sanitation, and ensure HACCP and finished-product standards are met on the harvest floor. You will communicate with USDA inspectors, resolve product and employee issues, and help establish shelf-life, weights, temperatures, and other required specifications.

Leadership of sorter teams and staff training is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Spanish/English bilingual desired but not required.
• Understanding of HACCP, SSOP, GMP and animal handling programs.
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise pre-operation examination and sanitation verification.
• Communicate frequently with USDA inspectors regarding product, employees, safety, etc.
• Ensure compliance to HACCP plan for all products; establish shelf-life and specifications.
• Lead and develop Sorter teams; maintain staffing and minimize turnover.
• Conduct staff meetings to address department changes or concerns.
• Assist QC supervisors with FSQA duties and pre-operational inspections.
• Assist with supervision of production setup.
• Other duties as assigned.
