Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Research Farm Assistant for the Jackson ARS. You will support beef cattle and sheep operations in a research setting, assist with daily husbandry, record data, and help with equipment maintenance.

Location is Jackson, Ohio. This is a temporary, 40-hour-per-week role with potential field duties and adherence to safety protocols; background check and drug screen may be required during the post-offer process.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with farm operations for beef cattle and sheep in a research setting.
• Help with animal health care, manure handling, and transport to other OSU campuses.
• Operate tractors and hay equipment; perform general maintenance and data collection.
