Job summary

Caviness Beef Packers in Hereford, TX is seeking an FSQA Technician to ensure our beef products meet food safety standards, customer specs, and regulatory requirements. You will monitor production processes, inspect outputs, and help maintain GMPs and USDA/FSIS compliance.

This on-site role requires 1+ years in QA, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong attention to detail with clear documentation. Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays; competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years as a quality assurance technician; beef processing preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs and USDA/FSIS food safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail with solid recordkeeping and communication.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work, standing and walking.

Responsibilities

As an FSQA Technician, you will be making sure that our product meets food safety requirement, the specs are met and our product meets our customers satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and inspecting production processes; verifying product meets Company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements; and maintaining compliance with USDA and FSIS expectations through clear communication and accurate documentation.

Required qualifications/skills

• -1+ years as a quality assurance technician prefer;Must have previous experience in beef processing
• - Knowledge of GMPs plus USDA/FSIS food safety regulations
• - Strong attention to detail; solid communication and recordkeeping
• - Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle repetitive, physical work (standing/walking, stairs, concrete floors)
• - HS Diploma/GED preferred; some college and food science/production training preferred
• - Available for Monday-Friday 5:00am to end of production; occasional Saturday/overtime
