JBS is seeking an hourly Production Lead 2nd shift Team Member! The position starts at $24 per hour with a $1 shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate activities with production, procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments to achieve and sustain results.
2. Support team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
3. Create an environment that expresses concern and consistency toward all team members.
4. Promote cooperation and dedication to superior workmanship among all team members.
5. Provide training for team members on company policies, rules, regulations, and job-specific duties and responsibilities.
6. Monitor and enforce adherence to GMPs and specifications.
7. Encourage the best use of energy and resources with minimal waste.
8. May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs. SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification a plus.
• Ability to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example. Capable of coaching, training, and taking corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess a problem-solving mentality.
• Good math skills.

Physical and Working Conditions:

• May require working on feet for long hours, bending, and stooping.
• Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Average visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a wet, damp, and cold environment, often at temperatures around 34°F, for long hours.
