Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, Ohio is seeking a Beef Intern. This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Beef Operations Administrator and provides hands-on exposure to beef production, data management, and bull marketing activities.

The intern will support the beef team, gather data and photos, and participate in breeding project activities, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential for varied duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree with preference for agricultural background/experience.
• Excellent database skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to plan and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
• Support the beef team around upcoming beef activities while gaining understanding of the beef business.
• Gather missing beef bull data points and support photos for the website and sire directory.
• Assist with barn activities and adoption of BART bulls as needed.
• Support projects related to BART, acquisition, and production.
• Assist with international beef tour logistics and photos.
• Capture information for bull marketing purposes during breeding projects.
