Qualifications

• Experience: 1 month minimum.
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Adherence to biosecurity and health/safety guidelines.
• Must be able to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food supplies.
• Herd livestock to pastures or enclosures and inspect animals for illness or injury.
• Provide basic medical treatment and arrange veterinary care as needed.
• Maintain records of growth, feeding, production and costs.
• Inspect and repair equipment, buildings, and fences.
• Move livestock and equipment between locations as required.
• Housing and meals are provided; employer may arrange transportation.
• Perform duties related to reproduction and births as applicable.
