Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 months experience on beef cattle feedlot or ranch.
• Mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair agricultural equipment.
• Experience riding horses.

Responsibilities

• Feed livestock daily and monitor health.
• Round up calves starting in November and prepare yearlings for sale through July/August.
• Perform routine maintenance on ranch machinery and repair broken equipment.
• Clean and maintain feedlot pens and ensure proper drainage.
• Inspect fences and maintain secure boundaries; repair posts and wires.
• Mix and distribute feed; load rations for cattle.
• Assist with loading cattle onto trailers and safe transport.
