Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farmhand to support beef cattle operations on a South Dakota ranch. You will feed and water cattle, monitor animal health, and assist with moving cattle between pens and transport.

You will inspect livestock for illness, arrange veterinary care, and perform routine maintenance on equipment, fences, and facilities. English required; physical work in varied temperatures is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ month of experience in cattle farming or similar livestock work.
• Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must speak English and follow biosecurity and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Move feed for livestock and monitor water supplies.
• Herd cattle to pens, stalls, trucks, or enclosures.
• Examine animals for illness or injury and arrange veterinary care as needed.
• Maintain fences, yards, and equipment; assist with handling and transport.
