Job summary

Beech Grove City Schools seeks a High School Science Teacher to lead General Science instruction in Beech Grove, Indiana. The position reports to the Building Principal and follows a 184-day contract.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid Indiana High School teaching license in General Science; preference for those with multiple science certifications. The teacher will create engaging lessons, use varied instructional strategies, and maintain accurate grade and attendance records.

• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Collaborate with Science Department colleagues to design lessons aligned with Indiana State Standards and Employability Skills Standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for grades and attendance
• Use both formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
• Communicate effectively with parents, counselors, administration, and other stakeholders regarding student progress
• Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student learning
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and appropriate student supervision
• Participate in professional development opportunities
• Implement and adhere to Individual Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans
