Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is hiring a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to assist uninsured hospital patients with Medicaid and financial assistance programs. This on-site role places you at the hospital bedside, guiding patients through eligibility and application steps with compassion.

You will work a Tuesday-Saturday shift in Cincinnati, collaborating with hospital staff and case managers, documenting thoroughly, and helping patients navigate complex rules while delivering exceptional

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability to changing processes, computer systems and government programs.
• Experience with state and federal programs.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Navigate hospital and patients' rooms during shift.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Multitask to meet metrics in a fast-paced environment.
• Dress code compliance for Hospital-Based Advocates.
• Hybrid work policy adherence and private workspace.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for aid.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain the assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and counselors.
• Answer calls, make outbound calls, and track enrollment paperwork.
• Maintain timely contact with applicant and government agencies.
• Assist with gathering reports and arranging transportation if needed.
• Conduct in-person community visits to obtain documentation.
• Inform clients of approvals/denials promptly and attend required training.
