Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte, NC is seeking a bedside Exercise Physiologist to support mobility and functional recovery for hospitalized patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote early mobility and safe progression of activity during acute care rehabilitation.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Health/Fitness, and ACSM-CEP or EP-C certification is preferred with BLS HCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health/Fitness required; Exercise Physiology degree preferred.
• ACSM-CEP/EP-C preferred; BLS HCP certification required.
• Experience in mobility and exercise for inpatient populations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs patient mobilization and exercise programs.
• Assess contraindications and readiness for mobilization from medical records.
• Coordinate care with nursing and therapy staff.
• Explain mobility role to patient/family and verify orders.
• Perform patient mobilization and assist with safe positioning.
• Monitor performance and adjust plans as needed.
• Document daily treatment notes and education.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to care team.
