Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a department in our Dallas, TX facility. You will oversee a production team, coordinate activities to meet efficiency and safety goals, and ensure output quality.

The role requires supervising experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and solid analytical abilities. Responsibilities include maintaining records, coaching staff on SOPs, improving methods or layout, and controlling scrap.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in supervising others and maintaining efficient and productive work groups.
• Ability to develop, communicate and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with employees.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and all levels of management.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while preserving a sense of urgency.
• Solid computer skills including data entry, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a specific department and team within the production process.
• Coordinate the team's activities to accomplish production and safety goals.
• Manage and inspect the team's output to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Train and coach associates to follow and maintain production SOPs.
• Address absenteeism and employee performance and maintain high morale.
• Promote safe work practices and housekeeping.
• Recommend changes to methods, equipment, handling or layout.
• Control scrap and waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
