Job summary

Aspire Health Partners is seeking a Bed Management / Staffing Specialist in Orlando. This part-time role (24 hours/week, 3 x 8-hour days) focuses on bed availability and staffing coordination across acute care units.

The position involves maintaining staffing schedules, census management, and data coordination to ensure safe, efficient patient placement. The role requires Level II background clearance, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Level II Background clearance
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with Aspire insurance policy
• Must be competent in using Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit staff to ensure 24/7 coverage for all acute care programs
• Maintain an accurate daily staffing schedule for all inpatient units
• Monitor time and attendance; refer to Nurse Manager
• Maintain a master schedule for each acute care unit
• Monitor staffing; avoid overtime by adjusting casual staff
• Maintain accurate staff contact information
• Collaborate with departments to place patients correctly by funding source/gender/status
• Manage census for inpatient acute care, substance abuse units, and residentials
• Complete routine census reports and share with management
• Assist Centralized Navigation Manager with data collection and analysis
• Maintain high ethical and professional conduct per policies

Pay Rate: $16.80

Job Purpose: As a Bed Management / Staffing Specialist at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose is to provide bed availability based on the staff coordination per the guidelines/acuity and safety.

Job Functions

• Coordinate unit staff to ensure unit coverage on a 24/7 basis for all acute care programs.
• Maintain an accurate daily staffing schedule for all inpatient units.
• Monitor time and attendance regularly, and refers to the appropriate Nurse Manager.
• Maintain a master schedule for each acute care unit through on-Shift, assisting with filling daily staffing needs due to call outs, census fluctuations and other variables.
• Monitoring employees in number and availability for each position to assure that designated casual staff is able to meet staffing needs without overtime.
• Maintain an accurate contact information for all staff.
• Collaborates in a professional manner with each department to ensure patients are placed in the correct bed the first time, based on their funding source/ gender and legal status.
• Manages census for all inpatient acute care, substance abuse units and residentials.
• Completes routine census reports and sends to necessary AHP management as indicated.
• Assist Centralized Navigation Manager in collecting and reviewing data analysis.
• Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

• Level II Background clearance
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
• High School Diploma
• Must be competent in using Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
