Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Bed Management Coordinator to coordinate inpatient/observation bed assignments across ED, PACU, and admissions. You will create accounts for direct admissions, coordinate transfers, and handle decedent-related communications in collaboration with the Capacity Command Center.
The role supports efficient patient movement by prioritizing bed availability, resolving bottlenecks, and working closely with EDs and PACUs across LVHN campuses.

Coordinate inpatient /observation bed assignments from ED, PACU, and direct admits for all sites. Perform account creation in EPIC for direct admissions, and patient transfers. Coordination of release of decedent persons with funeral homes. Works collaboratively with all teams in the Capacity Command Center to promote efficient patient movement.
Lift and carry 7 lbs., continuous sitting >67%, frequent keyboard use/repetitive motion, frequent fine motor activity/wrist position deviation.
