Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking an Admission & Bed Management Coordinator for the Transfer Center in Omaha. The role supports bed capacity and patient transfers across internal and external facilities, with a focus on timely admissions and efficient throughput.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in health care or related field, at least 3 years of healthcare experience, and preferably RN licensure or a temporary permit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care, business or related field or relevant equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years health care experience; bed management experience preferred.
• Current RN license, compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure preferred; BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers from internal/external facilities and manage admission and bed capacity.
• Monitor bed availability and throughput to ensure timely assignments within target times (e.g., 20 min bed placement, 1 hour transfer/admission).
• Communicate with departments and stakeholders; lead daily bed huddle and emergency bed huddle as needed.
• Maintain documentation in hospital information systems and ensure adherence to policies.
