Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Hamilton, NJ to manage bed assignments and patient flow within the hospital. The role requires coordinating with clinical teams to ensure accurate census, proper bed status, and timely admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a customer-focused service attitude.

The position is on-site, with work mainly in the evenings, and offers benefits including PTO and health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in appropriate bed based on level of care and clinical needs.
• Track bed assignments and bed status in the bed management system.
• Complete admissions, transfers, and discharges timely.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to verify and reconcile census.
• Update level of care, accommodation status, and admission/discharge times in HIS.
• Maintain accurate bed management data and reconcile daily as needed.
• Communicate with physicians, clinical teams, and environmental services for timely placements.
• Attend daily bed management huddles and escalate blockers.
