Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking a Bed Group Leader to manage setup and pour processes for concrete products. You will work within a team to read blueprints, prepare materials, and ensure accurate placement in forms.

You will direct crewmembers and assist with pours, raking, screeding, and leveling while maintaining a safe work environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of general construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • General housekeeping and waste disposal throughout the shift.
  • Collect and prepare materials as directed.
  • Prepare and clean forms.
  • Reads blueprints and shop tickets.
  • Identify and report shop ticket errors.
  • Measures and marks locations for placement of items in forms.
  • Direct or assist with concrete pours as needed.
  • Direct or assist with raking, screeding, and leveling concrete as needed.
  • Operate various types of equipment such as hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

Bed Group Leader

POSITION PURPOSE

The Bed Group Leader works as a member of a team to complete the setup and pour processes for various product types.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • General housekeeping and waste disposal throughout the shift
  • Collect and prepare materials as directed
  • Prepare and clean forms
  • Reads blueprints and shop tickets
  • Identify and report shop ticket errors
  • Measures and marks locations for placement of items in forms
  • Direct or assist with concrete pours as needed
  • Direct or assist with raking, screeding, and leveling concrete as needed
  • Operate various types of equipment such as hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE
  • Sheltered, outdoor environment
  • Work area is not climate controlled and may be exposed to changing weather and temperature conditions
  • Monday – Friday
  • Schedule varies with workload and location
  • Unscheduled overtime may be required depending on business needs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
