Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Placement Coordinator to improve patient flow and bed utilization. You will coordinate inpatient and observation room assignments in collaboration with physicians' offices, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, and floors to provide efficient service to patients and physicians.

No experience is required; education options include a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates inpatient and observation patient room assignments in collaboration with physician's offices, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Critical Care and Medical/Surgical floors in order to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service to all patients and physicians. Provides efficient and appropriate utilization of beds in all areas.
