Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a flexible, patient-focused coordinator to support bed management across inpatient and observation units.

Responsibilities include coordinating room assignments with physicians’ offices and departments to optimize patient flow and bed utilization, with no mandatory experience requirement and GED/H.S. diploma as baseline; associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates inpatient and observation patient room assignments in collaboration with physician's offices, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Critical Care and Medical/Surgical floors in order to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service to all patients and physicians. Provides efficient and appropriate utilization of beds in all areas.
