Summary

The Beauty Stylist drives beauty sales across brands by demonstrating products and applying artistry techniques to meet customer needs. The role focuses on one-on‑one service, appointment-based selling and building lasting client relationships in a commissioned sales environment. The stylist leverages in-store and digital tools to meet sales goals and grow customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools including text and social media
• Conduct service consultations to learn customer preferences and recommend appropriate products
• Build and maintain customer relationships through follow-up, product suggestions and event invitations
• Drive appointment-based selling and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
• Create and support in-store events and community networking to grow sales
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to stay informed on brand focuses and product launches

Requirements

• At least 1 year of beauty industry experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong organization and follow-through
• High level of ownership, accountability and initiative; ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
• Physical requirements include continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, frequent bending, reaching and use of hands, regularly lifting items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
