The role focuses on recommending products that fit each customer, thrives in a commission-based environment, and delivers exceptional one-on-one beauty client service. A day in the life includes setting and achieving in-store and digital sales goals, staying current on trends, initiating service consultations, building customer relationships, and growing sales

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Beauty industry experience.
• Flexible schedule based on department needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• High level of ownership, accountability and initiative.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical requirements include continuous movement and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling with selling tools.
• Seek industry trends and product knowledge to maintain expertise.
• Initiate service consultations by asking open-ended questions to learn customer preferences.
• Build lasting relationships by following up on purchases and inviting them to events.
• Grow sales by appointment-based selling, using technology and Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
• Be entrepreneurial: create in-store events and network in the community.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships within each Beauty brand to identify key focuses.
• Hours and schedule vary by week based on business needs.
