Job summary

Ulta Beauty seeks a Stylist to engage guests with haircare, provide expert services, and drive guest satisfaction. You will consult on needs, deliver high-quality hair and makeup services, and contribute to achieving store sales and service goals.

The role emphasizes product demonstrations, collaboration with skin therapists and retail teams, and participation in in-store events to create an exceptional guest experience. A cosmetology license and relevant salon experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Experience in professional hair services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services: design, cuts, color, styling, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing where applicable.
• Meet or exceed average weekly hair/service sales goals and contribute to retail/service targets.
• Demonstrate business awareness and opportunities for growth.
• Conduct product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
• Keep informed on industry trends, products, and services to advise guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Provide high standards of customer service and salon image.
• Serve all guests including walk-ins efficiently.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for total-store experiences.
• Promote loyalty program benefits to guests.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings to develop professionally.
• Follow policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Adhere to service protocols for consistent guest experiences.
• Use booking/CRM systems to schedule return visits and events.
• Communicate supply needs to Experience Manager.
• Maintain salon/salesfloor/backroom cleanliness and adhere to dress code.
• Protect company assets and support loss prevention.
• Execute other tasks as directed.
