Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is hiring in the Beauty Department to create personalized beauty experiences for customers.

You will engage clients, perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products aligned with their goals, while collaborating with a team to foster an inclusive, welcoming environment. You will drive sales across in-store and digital channels, book appointments, and support Nordstrom Rewards.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Empathy and respect for all customers during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer’s beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve sales goals, for in-store and digital selling with use of selling tools (text and social media).
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
• Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness.
• Keep up with latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
