Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking an Innovation Chemist to help develop skincare, haircare, and personal care formulations. You will translate trends into manufacturable products by leveraging supplier ingredients and conducting customized testing to prototype market-ready formulations.

You will work with Technical Service Managers and cross-functional teams to advance projects through a Stage-Gate process, ensuring precise records and instrument optimization, while maintaining a safe, organized lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related fields required.
• 1–3 years of successful experience as a scientist/formulator/chemist in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop new consumer products or formulations from concept to customer presentation under guidance.
• Create product prototypes to demonstrate ingredient function and aid sales.
• Organize comparative studies and material benchmarking.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Managers and Sales Managers.
• Showcase new products at industry tradeshows and on digital platforms.
• Visit customers with sales/marketing/product teams to pursue new business.
