Job summary

International Shoppes has an immediate opening for a Merchandising Assistant within the Beauty buying office in Valley Stream, NY. TheMerchandising Assistant will support the buying team with data entry, PO and SKU management, and research as needed.

The role requires at least 2 years in an administrative/clerical setting, strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills, and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. We offer full-time hours and a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years supporting a department or team in an administrative/clerical role.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data entry, PO and SKU management, database maintenance.
• Perform all administrative tasks supporting the buying department.
• Maintain records and create selling reports and conduct product and corporate research as needed.
• Purchase order creation and follow-up.
• Price changes maintenance.
• Credit notes follow-up.
• Obtain return authorizations from vendors.
• Communicate effectively within the team and with other departments.
• Performs other duties as determined by management.
