Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Los Angeles is seeking a Beauty Advisor to deliver an exceptional guest experience, conduct skincare and makeup services, and drive sales. You will engage guests, recommend products, and support event-driven promotions while maintaining store standards and inventory.

The role requires a passion for beauty, at least 1 year of relevant work experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, assessing needs, and recommending products and services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges including online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events.
• Stay informed about new products and ingredients to better assist guests.
• Maintain attendance and store standards.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for brand and category education.
