Job summary

Nordstrom Beauty Department in the United States seeks a customer-focused beauty expert to create personalized beauty experiences. You will perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and recommend products to help customers achieve their beauty goals.

Collaborate with teammates to foster an inclusive, welcoming environment, drive personal and counter sales using in-store and digital tools, and manage events with vendors, while staying current on trends and Nordstrom brand standards.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, incl. makeup and skincare.
• Strong ability to connect with customers and handle concerns.
• Empathy and respect for all customers during makeup/skincare.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through.
• Sales-driven with interest in networking and tech.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Physical requirements: 6–8 hours of movement and lifting up to 25 lb.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and product recommendations.
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming environment.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools.
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize business results.
• Keep department organized and customer-ready.
• Stay updated on beauty trends through trainings.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges and Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
