Job Objectives
Maximize sales and brand awareness by providing exceptional customer care in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. Offer impartial, personalized expertise and advice regardless of brand and budget. Demonstrate a passion for beauty and wellness, providing inspirational knowledge and solutions, including mini-makeovers and skincare consultations, focusing on the customer's total look. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience and oversee the overall beauty department standards.
Job Responsibilities/Tasks
Customer Experience
- Engage customers by greeting and assisting with products and services, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Share customer care best practices by proactively offering assistance and informing customers of options.
- Identify customer needs through engagement and provide appropriate product recommendations and services.
- Conduct product demonstrations and consultations using tools like the Skin Hydrometer and tablets.
- Lead in-store events to promote brand awareness and loyalty.
- Build and foster customer relationships with authentic interactions.
- Utilize omni-channel solutions to enhance engagement.
- Locate products in other stores or online if unavailable locally.
Operations
- Achieve or exceed sales goals through excellent customer service and product assistance.
- Regularly review store performance and collaborate with leadership.
- Focus on link-selling and up-selling techniques.
- Use testers and samples to demonstrate products and leverage promotional items.
- Maintain hygiene standards, stock testers, and keep the department organized.
- Implement asset protection procedures to minimize loss.
- Process sales transactions accurately.
- Participate in meetings about programs, promotions, and new products.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Complete assigned special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Monitor personal performance, set high standards, and stay informed on industry trends.
- Attend training sessions and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and support team members, including training new consultants.
- Collaborate with leadership to review goals and enhance product knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and at least one year of retail sales experience with sales goals or experience selling beauty/cosmetic products and providing customer care.
- Ability to work independently and develop strategies to meet objectives.
- Knowledge of beauty products and brands.
- Relationship-building skills within teams and with customers.
- Basic PC/tablet skills.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensure in Cosmetology or Esthetician.
- Experience in makeup application and providing makeovers.
- Experience with prestige brands.
- Degree from a Beauty School.
- Externship or retail experience in beauty.
