Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Beauty Advisor (Inside Sales) in El Monte, CA. You will enhance the customer journey by advising on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails, and by promoting Sally Beauty promotions and loyalty programs.

The role offers diverse scheduling and opportunities for growth. Training on products will be provided to empower you to assist customers confidently and professionally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years in retail sales or customer service preferred.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and inspire loyalty with customers and vendors.
• Recommend additional and complimentary products.
• Inform customers of current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotions.
• Ensure our customers are informed about and enrolled in our Loyalty program.
• Complete cash and other monetary transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and inventory management; communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values and adhere to our ethics and behavior guidelines.
• Handle company assets and maintain accurate records as applicable.
• Occasionally you may be required to make bank deposits and open or close the store.

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor will focus on one primary objective – creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers. Your role at Sally Beauty:

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must 18 years of age or older
• 1 + years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate with customers, co-workers, and management in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to execute knowledge from product knowledge training to support with customer service.
• Can read and explain product labels.
• Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Legal wants you to know:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• May be exposed to fumes and odors upon occasion.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals.
