Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Bearhouse Worker in Groveport, OH to join our fast-paced warehouse team. You will perform order assembly, pick/pack, and prepare shipments using RF scanners to ensure on-time delivery to our stores.

Responsibilities include receiving product, moving items with lift equipment, stocking, and verifying orders for accuracy. Candidates should be reliable, able to stand for long shifts, and willing to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to read English.
• Preferred 1–2 years distribution/warehouse or logistics experience.
• Stand/walk/sit 8 hours or more per day.
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to climb stairs several times a day.
• Able to use hands and fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel and bend.

Responsibilities

• Palletize cartons and gather products for orders.
• Use an RF scanner to ship cartons to stores.
• Assemble orders including picking, packing, stuffing, sewing, and dressing behaviorally similar items.
• Operate forklift, turret truck, or order picker with onsite training.
• Replenish and locate/move items as needed.
• Ensure accuracy by reviewing completed orders.

Job description

Following direction from the Warehouse Leadership, a Bearhouse Worker may be responsible for the following roles: palletizing cartons, using a radio frequency scanner to ship cartons to stores, and assembling orders which may include picking, packing, stuffing, sewing, and dressing the “furry friends”.

Detailed Description:

Following direction from the Warehouse Leadership, a Bearhouse Worker may be responsible for the following roles: palletizing cartons, using a radio frequency scanner to ship cartons to stores, and assembling orders which may include picking, packing, stuffing, sewing, and dressing the “furry friends”.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Gathering product for each order in a timely and accurate manner using an RF scanner.
• Receiving product into the warehouse.
• Following prompts for picking.
• Using a forklift, turret truck, and/or order picker (Onsite training is provided).
• Replenishing and locating/moving items.
• Assembling orders in a timely manner.
• Following specific directions for each order to meet 100% guest satisfaction levels.
• Stuffing/sewing/dressing the "furry friends".
• Reviewing completed orders for accuracy. This includes identifying and correcting any product issues while building the order.
• Completing any additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications include:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED certificate.
• Ability to read English proficiently.
• Preferred level of experience: 1-2 prior years distribution/warehouse or logistics experience.
• Ability to stand/walk/sit 8 hours or more per day.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs several times a day.
• Ability to use hands and fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel and bend.
• Manual dexterity required.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility.
• Must be available to work occasional overtime throughout the week/weekend and holidays as needed.
• Ability to multi-task; have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to adhere to all safety standards.
• Ability to use RF equipment and walkie-talkies.
• Reliable and dependable. Shows tenacity and commitment to tasks.
• Accepts supervision and coaching.
• Flexible and adaptable to change; must be willing to work in other departments in the warehouse as needed.
