Job summary

Zuven Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior Epic Applications Lead to supervise design, build, and maintenance of Epic Beacon environments. You will collaborate with end users to design workflows, mentor staff, and guide all phases of projects including upgrades and new functionality.

Strong communication with stakeholders and ability to manage capacity is essential. The role requires Epic Beacon Certification and at least 5 years of Epic experience, with responsibilities spanning design,

Responsibilities

• Supervise Epic application design, development and maintenance activities.

• Mentor and advise team members as primary resource.
• Lead all phases of small to medium Epic projects including upgrades and enhancements to workflows.

• Monitor production Epic applications daily and provide incident support especially on-call coverage.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications.

Job description

Supervise Epic application design, development, maintenance activities of applications under direct purview

Collaborate with end users to design Epic Beacon workflows by suggesting corrective adjustments or enhancements

Determine staffing requirements, perform capacity planning for resources and supervise the work of direct reports to ensure that team is functioning effectively and efficiently

Serve as a mentor, resource, and primary advisor for team members

Lead all phases (e.g. design, build and testing) of small to medium size application projects including Epic?software upgrades, adoption of new Epic functionality and/or significant enhancements to integrated workflows.

Provide Epic product function expertise for the design, build, and testing for assigned module(s), including but not limited to optime.

Collaborate with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.

Participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs.

Provide technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers.

Develop, support and maintain all required system design and build documents and other system documentation.

Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use.

Provide support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on call coverage as required.

Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality; acquire and utilize knowledge of operational workflows to be implemented.

Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.

Work with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materials.

Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to specifications prioritize, coordinate, and implement updates and requested changes to the system; review and test each new release; troubleshoot problems and questions from end users.

Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control.

Develop strong relationships with end user communities, customers and business partners.

Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation.

Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalte more complex issues as appropriate.
