Job summary

AGUA FRIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 216 seeks an Assistant Beach Volleyball coach to lead and develop student-athletes within the district’s athletic program. The coach will instruct, mentor, and support players to balance academics and athletics.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and positive conduct, with duties including planning practices, coordinating with the Athletic Director, and ensuring adherence to district policies and coaching standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and hold valid CPR and First Aid clearance.
• Open to certificated on-site or school-site staff; may be opened to non-staff if no candidate.
• Demonstrate leadership, organization, and strong communication with athletes, parents, and administrators.
• Record of promoting academics, character, and sportsmanship; knowledge of NCAA Clearinghouse standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer freshman, JV, and/or varsity sport program as assigned.
• Be a positive role model for student-athletes and uphold district policies.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director on planning, practices, and game schedules.
• Ensure safety and secure conditions before, during, and after events.
• Oversee equipment, uniforms, and end-of-season inventory.
• Provide timely reports and maintain eligibility reviews for athletes.
