Job summary

Cape Resorts seeks a guest services attendant at Congress Hall Hotel in Cape May, NJ. You will greet guests, assist with beach chairs, towels and umbrellas, and help with food service menus and order taking.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in public-facing work, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule to meet hotel needs. Uniforms and training sessions are required as part of employment.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $15.92 - $15.92 Hourly

Position Overview:

Attend to guest needs, including, but not limited to, greeting guest, assisting with beach chairs, towels and umbrellas. Provide food service menus and assist with taking and ordering service.

These duties may be described as, but not limited to:

• Ensure that you report to work in proper uniform at all times.
• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Maintain proper inventory of towels and chairs.
• Make certain that the beach area is free from debris.
• Closing procedures include removing all soiled towels to laundry. All umbrellas and chairs are neatly stored away in a secured area.

Other:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Congress Hall rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
