Job summary

Sarasota County Government is seeking an entry-level Attendant to support beach maintenance at Manasota Key and Venice Island Beach Parks. The role involves cleaning facilities, operating light equipment, tracking inventory, and leading volunteer projects. The position offers full-time hours (40 per week) with a 2nd shift from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida driver's license is required.
• Experience with small tools and lightweight maintenance equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and help maintain beaches, picnic areas, parking lots, playgrounds, restroom facilities, buildings, etc.
• Operate light automotive equipment, UTVs, light landscape equipment, and hand tools.
• Track inventory.
• Complete routine maintenance projects.
• Keep schedules of maintenance for assigned area(s).
• Perform daily safety checks.
• Lead volunteer groups and projects.
