Position Summary

The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as necessary. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

1. Follow recipes to prepare cocktails and other drinks, including garnishing.
2. Serve members and customers promptly, check identification, accept payment, and answer questions.
3. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, furniture, and equipment, and return used dishware to the kitchen.
4. Re-stock liquors, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic ingredients; replace beer barrels.
5. Reconcile the cash register at the end of each shift.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
• Certified to serve alcohol
• CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. repeatedly and bend routinely
• Ability to work stationary and move around the cafe for extended periods

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with inventory management and ordering

Pay

This hourly position starts at $16.50 and can go up to $19.50 based on experience and qualifications.
