Job description

The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Beach Attendant to join the Recreation Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.

Classification: Seasonal - April through Memorial Day Weekend

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $16.50 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Beach Attendant, you would be responsible for greeting and serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Greet guests and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  2. Confirm guest registration and distribute and track inventory of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and stock of beach area including, but not limited to, emptying used towel bins, collecting used towels and maintaining neat appearance of beach towels on shelves.
  4. Perform general beach-related duties, as needed.
