Job summary

Bay Colony Community Association in Naples, FL seeks an experienced Seasonal Beach Attendant to provide exceptional beach and food & beverage service to Beach Club members and guests.

This role combines hospitality with hands-on beach operations, including set-up/breakdown of umbrellas, chairs, and cabanas, plus towels and beverage service in a private club setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Experience in food & beverage in private clubs or resorts preferred
• Beach attendant experience preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to members and guests.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders timely.
• Enter orders into POS and relay kitchen instructions.
• Set up and break down beach amenities (umbrellas, chairs, cabanas).
• Maintain water, lemonade, iced tea; provide towels.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Drive ATV to transport supplies and assist setup.
• Ensure beach area stays clean and safe.
• Complete end-of-shift reporting and tip declaration.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings; follow safety and alcohol policies.

Job description

Bay Colony Community Association is seeking an experienced and service-focused Seasonal Beach Attendant to provide exceptional food, beverage, and beach service to our Beach Club members and guests. This position combines hospitality with hands-on beach operations, including food and beverage service, towel and chair service, beach set-up and breakdown, and maintaining a clean and welcoming beach environment.

ABOUT BAY COLONY

Bay Colony is one of Naples most upscale communities in Southwest Florida. The community is a private community within Pelican Bay and is embraced by a by a gracious perimeter. The meticulously manicured community which is spread across 200 acres is brimming with stately palm trees and luxuriant floral plantings while all the roadways are paved in brick.

The residents of Bay Colony enjoy membership privileges in the Bay Colony Beach Club and Tennis Club. The Beach Club which is located on two miles of pristine beach offers a wide array of fine dining experiences, from casual to elegant, plus outdoor amenities including private beach, swimming pool, sun deck and Chickee bar. The Tennis Club features six courts and a Pro Shop. Bay Colony prides itself on providing our owners with impeccable service and world class quality.

JOB DUTIES

• Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate special instructions to the kitchen.
• Setup and break down beach umbrellas, cabanas and chairs
• Fill up and maintain pitcher of water, ice, lemonade and ice tea at all times.
• Provide towels to guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Drive ATV to get supplies and set up and break down beach.
• Keep the beach area clean and free of debris.
• Be alert and aware of weather or other circumstances that may affect members or equipment
• Complete end-of-shift reporting and tip declaration procedures.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings and follow all applicable safety and alcohol-service policies.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid FL Drivers license required.
• Previous food and beverage experience in a fine dining, private club, hotel or resort setting preferred.
• Previous Beach Attendant Experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems preferred.
• Positive, Energetic, Engaging and Outgoing Personality.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Great active listening skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL & OUTDOOR REQUIREMENTS

This is an active outdoor position requiring frequent standing, walking, reaching, carrying, and lifting. The employee must regularly lift up and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust/focus.
