Job summary

Pelican Bay Foundation is seeking a Beach Attendant for a seasonal role in Naples, FL. The position is 4 to 5 days per week and ends on May 1, 2026, reporting to the Beach Manager. You will assist members and guests with beach equipment and maintain a clean, sand-free beach environment.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, greeting guests, collecting and storing gear, and ensuring beaches are free of trash and debris. Prior customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Any combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the use of the beaches and beach activities.
• Greet and assist members and guests with beach equipment setups.
• Clean equipment to ensure it is free of sand before distribution.
• Collect equipment at end of day, remove sand, store for the night.
• Clean beaches to remove trash, debris and rocks.

About the Position

We are seeking a Beach Attendant to be responsible for assisting Foundation members and guests with the use of The Foundation beaches and beach equipment. The position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly beach. These responsibilities are carried out consistent with the Foundation’s mission, standard of service and goals and departmental policies and procedures. This position reports to the Beach Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the use of the beaches and beach activities.
• Greet and assist members and their guests to determine desired beach equipment including set ups and take downs of beach equipment.
• Clean beach equipment to assure it is free of sand before it is distributed.
• Collect all equipment from the beach at the end of the day, removes excess sand, and stores in designated areas for the night.
• Clean beaches to assure they are free of trash, debris and rocks.

Requirements

Skills & Experience

• Successful experience in a position that has involved relating to members or the public in a service capacity.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods of time.

Education

• Any combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
