Job summary

American Society of Clinical Oncology is seeking a Medical Director in Oncology to expand access to cancer care in rural communities. The role involves guiding rural hospitals, training staff, and delivering virtual support from home with periodic on-site visits.

The ideal candidate is board-certified in oncology, licensed, with DEA certification, and experienced with EMR and video conferencing, willing to travel periodically.

• Board Certified in Oncology
• Current, unencumbered Physician license (compact license preferred)
• Active DEA Certification
• Experience with EMR systems and video conferencing
• Willingness to travel periodically

Responsibilities

• Provide medical guidance to rural hospitals and train hospital staff to develop skills to treat and manage oncology patients close to home.
• Deliver virtual support from home with periodic onsite visits every 4–6 weeks for in-person patient visits.
• Collaborate with a virtual care team and board-certified Oncologists.
