Job summary

Jackson Physician Search is seeking a Medical Director in Oncology to expand world-class cancer care into rural communities. The role focuses on guiding oncology services across community hospitals, with virtual leadership from home and periodic onsite patient visits.

You will partner with local physicians, provide medical guidance, and help train hospital staff to deliver comprehensive cancer care close to patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Oncology.
• Current, unencumbered Physician license (compact license preferred).
• Active DEA Certification.
• Experience with EMR systems and video conferencing.
• Willingness to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical guidance to rural hospitals and oversee oncology services.
• Train hospital staff to develop skills to treat and manage oncology patients close to home.
• Offer virtual support from home, and travel onsite every 4-6 weeks for in-person visits.
