Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking engineers to support BE-4 engine integration and flight operations from the Merritt Island launch site. You will advise customers on engine installation, verify and certify flight readiness, and participate in mission control analyses and data reviews.

The role emphasizes a strong propulsion background, systems engineering, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment with travel as needed to support flight and test activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or physics.
• 5+ years proven propulsion development, test, or launch/flight operations.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and structures.
• Prior experience with propulsion systems and launch vehicle operations.
• Prior experience in test and flight data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of cryogenic propellants (liquid natural gas and liquid oxygen).
• Understanding instrumentation including pressure transducers, thermocouples, and accelerometers.
• Willingness to travel to support flight and test activities.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers as they integrate BE-4 engines into flight vehicles and certify installations for flight.
• Provide engineering support during launch/mission control, analyze flight data, and review engine subsystems with engineers.
• Lead development of specifications, flight concepts, and standards to streamline engine integration at the launch site.
• Lead anomaly investigations and coordinate risk identification/mitigation for flight operations.
