Job summary

Azelis US, LLC. is seeking a New Business Development professional for the CASE market to identify, develop and close new opportunities in our specialty chemicals portfolio.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, deep CASE market knowledge, and a proven track record building customer relationships. You will develop a comprehensive business plan outlining strategic and tactical measures to penetrate CASE markets, monitor trends, and convert insights into revenue growth.

Qualifications

Summary

The New Business Development, CASE role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth across our specialty chemicals portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of the CASE market, and a proven track record of developing and growing customer relationships. Duties will include the development of a comprehensive business plan outlining the strategic and tactical measures necessary to penetrate and grow CASE markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining a deep understanding of the market including, but not limited to, market intelligence, trends, needs and opportunities as they relate to our current and new product and service offerings. The New Business Development, CASE role will be charged with continuous evaluation of the existing opportunity pipeline and direct actions that will be needed to win, and close, new business and growth gains.

Position Requirements
  • BS in Chemistry, Biology or related field
  • MBA or equivalent post graduate degree
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience required
  • Actively participate in all appropriate industry associations
  • Occasional overnight trips outside the designated sales territory for seminars, training, and conventions
  • Overnight travel as necessary or required up to 50%
  • Represent Company in industry and professional activities, such as trade shows, seminars etc.
  • Represent Company with the utmost integrity and in a highly professional and polished manner to include proper dress and conduct
  • Thorough understanding of the typical selling process.
Areas of Responsibility
  • Strategic Planning & Market Development
  • Identify attractive growth opportunities to further expand and segment the business
  • Analyze sales results, market share, competitive activity, and customer trends
  • Initiate hunting strategies that will accelerate growth in the identified markets
  • Execute hunting initiatives and plans
  • Trend Reporting and Presentation Development
  • Develop (minimum) quarterly trend for Managing Director and Sales Leaders to be used in the assistance and recommendations of additional support needed to close – win opportunities
  • Develop opinions relative to the Company’s revenue and growth strategy that will relate the markets current and forthcoming trends to its current product offering via quarterly reporting
  • Create and develop on a quarterly basis, presentations that relate current market opportunities and trends that will be used for presentation by the Commercial Team for use with our customers and prospects
  • Supplier Relations/New Supplier Development
  • Monitor the Opportunity Pipeline development of the Strategic Suppliers to ensure proper execution of revenue growth as determined in quarterly supplier meetings
  • Review, monitor and ensure the appropriate Opportunity Pipeline development of the key supplier product lines as discussed and planned between the Principal and PDM
  • Actively and aggressively communicate opinions regarding new product/supplier opportunities due to a deep understanding of the current market trends/opportunities and communicate those opinions to upper management
