Job summary

Polsinelli is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Specialist to support the Litigation and Labor & Employment Departments. You will work with senior managers and department leaders to develop initiatives, manage content, and coordinate client events in a dynamic law firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of relevant marketing and/or business development experience in a legal or professional services firm.
• Marketing experience in Litigation and/or Labor & Employment law encouraged
• Drive for excellence, professionalism, and ability to identify marketplace trends
• Strong project management skills, ownership of end-to-end projects
• Responsive, diplomatic, and thorough in addressing internal client inquiries and feedback
• Interest in AI applications within professional services
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with executives and handle ambiguous or dynamic requests
• Desirable traits: detail-oriented, organized, professional, innovative, strategic, process-driven, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and accommodating
• Demonstrated client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the Departments' practice groups, attorneys, competition, and client base to grow relationships and brand awareness.
• Support development and execution of business development initiatives, programs, events, and strategies for the Departments and practice groups.
• Assist with RFP and pitch responses and draft tailored materials; monitor proposal tracking database.
• Ensure department marketing content is compelling, accurate, and up to date (bios, website pages, pitches).
• Coordinate and support events with the firm-wide events team, including budgets, logistics, and client communications.
• Coordinate e-communications including eAlerts, blog posts, and monthly department emails.
• Foster collaboration among lawyers and the Marketing department to connect the dots across the firm.
• Collaborate with the PR team to raise profile in the market.
• Draft content for external submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, directories) and collect citations and client approvals.
• Monitor knowledge/experience management in the Foundation database and InterAction system.
• Assist with marketing budget processes and invoicing reconciliation.
• Conduct competitive research and analysis of key practices and industries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
