Job summary

Polsinelli, based in the United States, seeks a Marketing and Business Development Specialist to support Litigation and Labor & Employment. You will drive client relationships, coordinate BD initiatives, RFP/pitch responses, and content updates across department pages and bios.

You will collaborate with senior marketers, practice group leaders, and the PR team to raise the firm's profile, manage events, and help deliver targeted materials and surveys for external rankings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years marketing/business development in a legal or professional services firm.
• Marketing experience in Litigation and/or Labor & Employment preferred.
• Strong professionalism and ability to identify market trends.
• Excellent project management and ownership of projects.
• Responsive, diplomatic, and thorough in feedback.
• Interest in AI applications within professional services.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with executives and handle ambiguity.
• Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, adaptable, client-focused.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of practice groups, attorneys, competition, and client base to expand relationships and brand awareness.
• Support business development initiatives, events, programs, and strategies for departments and practice groups.
• Support RFPs and pitch responses; draft targeted materials and maintain proposal tracking.
• Ensure marketing content is accurate and up-to-date on websites, bios, and materials.
• Coordinate internal and client-facing events with the firm’s events team.
• Coordinate e-communications including eAlerts, monthly emails, and blogs.
• Bridge conversations across the firm’s departments and with PR to raise profile.
• Draft content for external surveys, directories, awards, and rankings; collect references.
• Monitor practice knowledge management and client activity data in the firm’s systems.
• Assist with marketing budget, invoices, and expense reconciliation.
• Conduct research and competitive analysis of key practices and industries.
• Other duties as assigned.
